A new trailer has been revealed for the upcoming documentary on longtime friends and musical collaborators, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López. That duo rose to acclaim with the angular post-hardcore band At The Drive In, before later entering the pantheon of prog rock royalty with their outfit The Mars Volta.
Dubbed ‘Omar And Cedric: If This Ever Gets Weird‘, the documentary is expected to screen in select theatres on November, with showings planned from November 01st through to November 20th. A list of participating theaters for the launch of the Nicolas Jack Davies-directed doc can be found over at omarandcedric.oscilloscope.net.
The film chronicles the over 20-year career and friendship of the pair, with footage having been pulled from 100s of hours of their own personal archives. Rodríguez-López told Rolling Stone of the film, ” We understand people will have direct questions for us, but we just point them to Nick’s film which holds all of the answers. These answers are given more precisely and elegantly in the film than we could ever put into words. We invite the world to watch and reach their own conclusions.”
