A music video for the latest Oni single “Déjà Vu” was shared with the public today, October 18th. Spiritbox‘s Josh Gilbert produced that track, with Patrick Tohill tasked with directing the below clip. You may notice a familiar face in the backing band, as YouTuber/musician Jared Dines joined up with the group earlier this year.
Oni‘s mastermind and namesake Jake Oni previously said of this song:
“‘Deja Vu‘ is about seeing people in your dreams or in real life that you have resolved a wrong with, and you are moving on and letting them go. This can take form in a lot of ways, a relationship, a friend, someone that betrayed you, or someone that traumatized you. But you’ve moved on and let them go, and you end up seeing them again or running into them after time has passed, like a Deja Vu.”
