Australian avant-garde metal artist Kim Dracula is among the participants in the newly released conceptual album from Lin-Manuel Miranda (‘Hamilton‘) and playwright, actress, etc. Elsa Davis. That album, ‘Warriors‘, is a love letter and tribute to the 1979 cult gang culture film ‘The Warriors‘, and the Sol Yurick novel it was based upon. The end result is part musical tribute/part audio play of sorts, with its release having taken place today, October 18th

Actor, musician, etc. Alex Boniello joins Kim Dracula on the track “Luther Interlude“, which pays tribute to the film’s memorable villain, Luther, head of rival gang The Rogues. Dracula assumes the role of the latter character throughout this record, also appearing on “Derailed“, “A Track Fire And A Phone Call“, and “Finale“.

Other artists involved in the album include Nas, Busta Rhymes, RZA, Ghostface Killah, Ms. Lauryn Hill and more.
