L.S. Dunes, the post-hardcore supergroup consisting of members of My Chemical Romance, Coheed And Cambria, Thursday, Circa Survive and more, will have their sophomore album “Violet” out on January 31st. Fantasy Records will be putting out that album, which the group co-produced with Will Yip (Harm’s Way, Scowl).
Bassist Tim Payne, also of Thursday, told Billboard of the record:
“As an album, Violet encapsulates everything we’ve been trying to accomplish since we formed as a band. Which is to give us each, as individual musicians, a safe space to explore music in ways that we have not yet had the chance to. Having become much more familiar with each other as artists, we were able to continue to push each other’s creative limits, but this time with a concerted effort to put the songs above all else. This helped create a very cohesive sound, while still being true to our own stylistic choices.”
The below music video for the newly shared track “Machines” was co-directed by David Brodsky (Cattle Decapitation, The Black Dahlia Murder) and the band’s own Frank Iero (also of My Chemical Romance.)
