The recently reunited Slayer have launched a digital retrospective on their 40 year career through a new video and online museum. This collection of artifacts from the thrash metal legends thus far compiles early show posters and photographs, along with various other associated paraphernalia taken from throughout the band’s run.

They’ve christened this online museum the ‘Slaytanic Verses‘, with an initial exhibit dubbed, ‘Live Assaults: 1981 Through Today‘ being offered up. A press release states that this first offering, “will evoke memories of past concerts and provide a new perspective, by taking them backstage with items dating to the band’s 1981 inception in Huntington Park, CA. This collection will be constantly updated with new memorabilia and stories uncovered from the many years Slayer spent touring in front of audiences all over the world.”

You can dig into that now via slayer.net. After retiring in 2019, the group surprisingly announced their reunion earlier this year. While they originally set out to reunite for a trio of shows this fall, mother nature had other plans, scuttling last month’s planned ‘Louder Than Life‘ set. They did however play their first show since 2019 at this year’s ‘Riot Fest‘ and will next be onstage tomorrow, October 10th, as part of this year’s ‘Aftershock‘ festival in Sacramento, CA.
