Nü-metal pioneers Korn put a cherry on top of their career thus far tonight, October 05th. The highly influential group celebrated their 30th anniversary with a special live set in Los Angeles, CA. Pulling out the stops, the group staged that event at the BMO Stadium — a venue that boasts a capacity of 22,000.
French progressive metal titans Gojira and Canadian alternative metallers Spiritbox — both of whom have been serving as support for the Bakersfield, CA group on their current North American headlining tour — also took part in tonight’s show, as did diamond-certified alternative metallers Evanescence, System Of A Down offshoot Scars On Broadway (their first show since 2019), and Vended.
Those hoping for a return of seemingly estranged bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, a potential full album performance, or even the unearthing of some deep cuts, were likely left wanting. But the band did throw a few special additions into a fairly stacked setlist.
To close out the show, they once again brought out Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee to guest on their most popular song to date, their 1998 hit single “Freak On A Leash“. They also saw fit to dust off “Helmet In The Bush” from their 2x multi-platinum self-titled debut album for its first live performance since 2015.
According to those in attendance, the setlist for the night ran as follows:
“Here To Stay”
“Dead Bodies Everywhere”
“Got The Life”
“A.D.I.D.A.S.”
“Coming Undone”
“Good God”
“Start The Healining”
“Somebody Someone”
“Blind”
“Ball Tongue”
“Clown”
“Shoots And Ladders”
“Helmet In The Bush”
“Twist”
“It’s On!”
“Make Me Bad”
“Y’all Want A Single”
“Falling Away From Me”
“Oildale (Leave Me Alone)”
“Freak On A Leash” (feat. Amy Lee of Evanescence)
