In direct contrast to Cannibal Corpse‘s gruesome death metal persona, vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher has long held a charitable streak and a public love of amusement parks. One of his passions is conquering claw machines for hauls of plush animals and characters, which he then donates to various local charities. You can see one of one of his past conquests here.

As it turns out, this past week saw those worlds collide for Fisher, with the band releasing a limited edition 13″ ‘Butcher Buddy’ plushie inspired by Vince Locke‘s cover art for the group’s 1991 sophomore album “Butchered At Birth“. That push into stuffed plush characters proved to be a popular one among death metal fans, with its limited run of 300 having promptly sold out. There are however several other merch items related to that album still available now via cannibalcorpse.store.
