Seven Hours After Violet, the supergroup headed up by System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian, have unveiled their second single. That track is titled “Radiance” and is streaming via music video that can be seen below.
The aforementioned outfit finds Odadjian flanked by vocalist Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer), guitarist/producer Michael “Morgothbeatz” Montoya (Winds Of Plague, etc.), ‘American Idol‘ runner-up Alejandro Aranda (aka Scarypoolparty) on guitars/vocals, and Winds Of Plague, etc. drummer Josh Johnson.
The band’s self-titled debut album has newly been announced for an October 11th release through Odadjian‘s 1336 Records imprint. Odadjian said of the effort:
“This album is the culmination of years of creative exploration. With Seven Hours After Violet. I wanted to return to my roots in heavy music but also bring something entirely new to the table. ‘Radiance” and its precursor, ‘Paradise‘ are but a small glimpse of the intensity, musical diversity and emotion that run through this album. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it in full and to bring these songs to life on stage at our first live performance at Mayhem Fest.”
Their live debut is slated to take place at this year’s ‘Mayhem Fest‘, which will take place October 12th at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, CA.
