A new trailer has just launched for the A24 sci-fi horror/teen comedy ‘Y2K‘. That film imagines an alternate history in which the y2k bug was real, and turned technology into murderous creations seemingly intent on wiping out humanity. Jaden Martell (‘It‘), Rachel Zegler (‘West Side Story‘) and Julian Dennison (‘Deadpool 2‘) are among the stars in that upcoming film, which will open on December 06th.
In a move befitting of the film’s intended era, nü-metal statesman Fred Durst appears as himself, complete with his signature red hat in the trailer. You can see him briefly in two scenes towards the end of the video. While Durst has branched out into directing films and commercials over the years, this latest bit part marks his his second role in an A24 film this year.
