Ligature Marks have released a video for their new single “Pray And Suffocate“. The song is the last from the outfit to feature writing contributions from Kyle Baltus of 36 Crazyfists fame. Vocalist Ben Charles commented:
“May this song provide a soundtrack to your apocalypse. Now more than ever it’s important to be suspicious of the false pledges of sacrifice and nobility. Charlatans and thieves make empty promises to build legions of blind allegiance. This song takes a long look at that kind of predatory saviorism. Sometimes that unwavering faith can be the veil that keeps us in the dark and sometimes you have to be willing to burn it down then walk away. It’s time to press the fucking “ play “ button.”
The band’s own bassist (Karl Whinnery) (also of Vintersea) oversaw the directorial duties on this latest clip.
