Alice In Chains‘ vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell has revealed some of the team involved in his forthcoming new single, “Vilified“. That track is slated to premiere this Thursday, July 25th. It is the first single from an upcoming new solo outing from the multi-platinum grunge legend,

Per a post shared on Cantrell‘s social media last night (July 21st), the song features studio contributions from Metallica, etc. bassist/vocalist Robert Trujillo, and drummer Gil Sharone, known for his work with Stolen Babies, The Dillinger Escape Plan and more.

Furthermore, Cantrell has confirmed that Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age) produced that forthcoming effort. Cantrell stated:

“Really stoked to be hitting the road with @bush @candlebox plus special guests to start the campaign for the new record. Here’s a couple shots from the studio with my brothers @robtrujillo and @gilsharone who cut the first single Vilified with me. Also a shot of my esteemed producing partner @eviljoebarresi who helped me birth this beautiful bastard . Tickets are moving fast for these shows so grab a stub and come Rawk out with us.”

He’ll be kicking off the touring campaign for the album this week on a run with Bush and Candlebox. Vocalist Greg Puciato (Better Lovers, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan) and drummer Roy Mayorga (Ministry, etc.) are expected to be a part of his backing band on that trek.
