Wisdom In Chains have announced that they have parted ways with their vocalist Mad Joe Black, replacing him with Frankie Poupolo (ex-Death Before Dishonor, etc.). A statement shared by the group today, July 12th, on social media reads as follows:

“We have a new singer, we have parted with Mad Joe. After many years, and many albums that we are really proud of, we’d like to welcome as our new frontman Frankie Poupolo @frankiepapalow.

If you are not familiar with Frankie, check out the @thisishardcorefest podcast, his first show with his new band will be This is Hardcore. We have known Frankie forever, some of us have been in side projects with him, he has done guest vocals with us on a song called My Promise in the past, Richie was is a side band called Trust in Few with him, and Mad Joe did guest vocals with Frankie’s acoustic stuff.

You will love him, and we are getting to work asap, writing and recording. All our respect to Mad Joe, who we consider one of the best lyricist in the game. He has a project called @cooltonebrown that everyone should check out. Anyway, check out Frankie on the This is Hardcore podcast and check out an interview Richie did with No Echo @noechodotnet … MORE MUSIC SOON.”

As stated above, the group’s first show with Poupolo on the mic will take place August 04th as part of this year’s annual ‘This Is Hardcore‘ festival. That event will be held at the Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia, PA.
