While Ill Niño have remained quiet on the matter on social media, it has now been clarified that the veteran Latin-influenced nü-metal group will be delaying the releases of their two volume “IllMortals” set. A statement issued by Godsize Records yesterday, July 02nd, stated that issues with physical production of the album forced the release date delay.
The first volume of “IllMortals” was set to be arrive last Friday, June 28th, with the second volume having been scheduled for July 26th. A music video for the single “Beast Inside” was set to precede both of those offerings on June 21st.
Over the weekend, fans began to voice their confusion/frustration on the band’s social media over the missing music and the lack of explanation. After word of the situation hit the press yesterday (July 02nd), the band dropped their “Beast Inside” music video.
In announcing the video’s arrival yesterday, the band made no mention of the status of their missing EP however. Instead, Godsize Records went on to announce that volume 1 of “IllMortals” will now be released digitally on July 26th, with volume 2 to follow on August 16th. Physical pre-orders are also now expected to arrive by August 09th.
Godsize Records commented:
