Multi-platinum-certified alternative rock Foo Fighters brought out one of Birmingham’s most famous sons during their show today, June 27th, in the aforementioned UK city. Geezer Butler, bassist for pioneering heavy metal legends Black Sabbath, sat in for a cover of his band’s 1970 anthem “Paranoid” during the set.
Geezer also previously partook in the tribute shows held for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins back in 2022. Fan-filmed footage of the today’s team-up is available below, with it marking the Foo Fighters‘ first full live performance of the track since 2000.
