Flat Black will be issuing their debut album “Dark Side Of The Brain” on July 19th through Fearless Records. The alternative metal band, who are helmed by ex-Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook, have newly issued a track titled “Sideways” from it. While the studio version of the song is just now receiving its online debut, the cut has previously been featured in the group’s live sets.
Hook co-produced this effort alongside Chris Collier (Korn, Vended). Speaking of this newest single from the effort, he offered:
“It’s a song about losing your temper. Whenever I felt my darker side gaining control in any given situation, I would say, ‘I’m about to go sideways.’ In those moments, it is key to let those feelings pass through you and refocus on moving forward.”
