Guitarist Marty Friedman, known for his esteemed work during his tenure in Megadeth and the lengthy solo career that has followed since, will be dropping his new solo record “Drama” on May 17th through Frontiers Music Srl.
That record was tracked at Newsin Audio Design in Italy and Woodcliff Studio in Los Angeles, CA, Friedman self-produced, while Alexander Backlund and Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour) mixed.
In addition to a studio backing band that includes drummer Gregg Bissonette and more, the song “Dead Of Winter” features guest vocals from Chris Brooks of Like A Storm. Steven Baquero Vargas provides guest vocals on “2 Rebeldes“. Dream Theater‘s Jordan Rudess is credited with additional recording, while a host of talent from Japan also took part in the sessions.
“Illumination” is the first single to land from the record with a visualizer available below.
