Australian melodic metalcore group Bloom put out their debut album “Maybe In Another Life” today (February 16th) via Pure Noise Records. As an extra bonus for fans, the band also dropped a music video for the featured track “An Exit“.
Speaking of the record itself, the outfit stated:
“Throughout the album the self-indulgent fantasy has been interwoven through every track and is finally realised here as a dream of death itself. Implicating that indulging in a self-destructive desire leads to destructive ends, the protagonist is confronted with the horror of their longing, as ‘All my vile features, exposed from the inside’.
The protagonist contemplates the possibility that their desire for a new life have been granted to them. ‘Has everything I wished for been placed into my reach’. The song progresses deeper into the vision of the afterlife, as ‘shadows start to shimmer’ before the protagonist is given ‘a glimpse into.. Fate.’ The light that has been a leading piece of imagery throughout the visual and lyrical journey of the album now becomes ‘devouring’ as it consumes the protagonist.”
