Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan has once again been forced to miss some of the band’s ongoing European touring. Earlier this month he revealed that he would be sitting out the initial dates of that current tour in order to be alongside his wife during her current health issues.
While he managed to return to the trek for the band’s June 11th headlining set at the annual ‘Download Festival‘ and a handful of dates afterwards, he has newly announced that he is once again heading home early. A statement issued earlier today, June 18th, reads as follows:
“Hello to all of our fans. Unfortunately I had to return back home to be with my wife due to her medical situation. Thank you for the overwhelming support for the few shows I was able to make. I’m so sorry for missing the remainder of these shows, I was really looking forward to being there. As always, I’m so gracious for your overwhelming support for our family. I will be seeing you all at our shows in July. See you soon and hail Slipknot. –clown“
