Post-hardcore outfit Thursday have cancelled a trio of their previously postponed shows (Reading, Washington & Huntington) to allow their frontman Geoff Rickly some more time to recover from his broken foot. Rickly injured himself amid the band’s ongoing tour and has been performing live with the aid of a cast and a knee scooter.
The group’s immediate dates, including tonight’s (March 07th) set in Nashville, TN, will go on as planned. A statement issued earlier today (March 07th) reads:
“In order to allow Geoff recovery and recuperation time for his leg, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Reading, PA, Washington DC and Huntington, NY shows. It’s never easy to cancel shows but we do promise that we will be back in the Pennsylvania, New York and the DC Metro area’s once we get back to full strength. Refunds are available from point of purchase.
Rest assured that we have very exciting touring plans on the horizon!
In the meantime, many of you have been asking about ‘certain things’ and let’s just say that some of the finest warehouse workers in Albany are currently stacking shelves in preparation for two big announcements. The first will come at the end of March and the second will come in May. There will be no ‘waiting’ this time!!!!!
We cannot wait to see all our friends in Tennessee and Texas over the next week and then we are gonna go home, retire the scooter, get better and do some cool things. We will see you all later in the year!!!!! Nashville – we will see you tonight at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville…”
