BANTAMWEIGHT Release "Fall Away" Music Video

BANTAMWEIGHT have launched a video for their single “Fall Away“. The song comes from the band’s forthcoming EP, “Sounds + Haptics” and the duo had the following to say of it:

“This track is comprised of over 400 layers of synths, samples, and instruments. The writing process alone took several months, and it was so revolutionary to our sound that we actually threw away everything we wrote before it.

Learning how to play it was a herculean effort as well – it was our goal to play every single note, chord, and sample that you hear, with as little reliance on backing tracks as humanly possible.

Making the music video was a truly amazing experience, thanks to director Jude Chacon and cinematographer Ethan Stockwell. Inspired by the feel and aesthetic of 1950’s sci-fi films, we hauled 1,650 pounds of sand, several gallons of red dye, and endless amounts of equipment into a vacant building with the goal of essentially FAKING THE MARS LANDING… In a tongue-in-cheek way, of course.

Special thanks to John King, Andy McIntyre, and Fabio – we truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Everything about this track required an immense amount of effort, but we’re SO proud of how it turned out.
We hope you all like it! More new music coming soon!

Thank you to Mike Ramirez for mixing this (and not turning us away when we came to you with a 400-layer track), Mike Wells for mastering it, and Jude Chacon, Ethan Stockwell, and Michaelangelo Macis for making this video with us!”

Sounds + Haptics” will be released on April 05th and can be pre-ordered now via Bandcamp.
