Shinedown have roughly nine songs written for their eventual seventh studio album. The band’s frontman Brent Smith revealed to Metal Hammer that he and bassist, etc. Eric Bass have been working on that album in recent months, offering, “the last two months I’ve been working with Eric [Bass, bassist] on ‘Shinedown 7’, and we’re about nine songs into that.”
Smith and his Shinedown bandmate, guitarist Zach Myers, have been focusing on their Smith & Myers project in recent months as well, having released two covers albums this past October.
