Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has never been one to shy away from his nerdier tendencies—he’s made multiple cameos on ‘Star Trek‘. He’s also never been shy of his passion for Dungeons & Dragons and takes part in a near weekly game in actor Joe Manganiello’s (‘Magic Mike‘, ‘True Blood‘) basement.
That current campaign also sees actor Vince Vaughn (‘Wedding Crashers‘, ‘Dodgeball‘), WWE wrestler (and actor) Paul “The Big Show” Wight and ‘Game Of Thrones‘ co-creator D.B. Weiss among the participants.
Variety have penned this profile of their ongoing campaign, for which Manganiello serves as the dungeon master. Various other participants to have taken part in the game nights in the past include director/writer James Gunn (‘Guardians Of The Galaxy‘), Taran Killam of Saturday Night Live fame and more.
Morello told the aforementioned publication of their time together:
“It’s similar to what a high-stakes poker game might be. It’s a game where friends gather that’s taken deadly seriously and is a lot of fun. But it’s serious. It’s very serious! We’re on an adventure that I think about a lot during the week.”
