Soundgarden‘s February 17th, 2013 live show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA was captured by Live From The Artists Den and will now be released on July 26th as “Soundgarden: Live From The Artists Den“. The set will arrive both as a live film and album via The Chris Cornell Estate/UMe. Blu-ray, vinyl and CD releases are currently available to pre-order here, with a limited edition super deluxe box set boasting a handful of extras.
The effort will also be made available in both digital audio and digital video formats with pre-orders for those versions to launch on May 31st. Prior to arriving in stores, the film will be screened at several locations, including:

Both the Los Angeles and New York events will showcase special technology with an official press release offering the following of that:
“The stops in New York and Los Angeles will each showcase 12 HD camera angles customized for an immersive multi-screen viewing experience. A live remix of the original multitrack 48-channel audio in L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound, a groundbreaking ultra-high resolution audio technology from L-Acoustics, offers fans the thrill of connecting with the band’s repertoire in vivid fidelity. The 360° real time mix synced to on-screen footage and further complemented by a stunning light show promised to immerse the audience in a truly unique experience, for one night only in each city.”
Tickets for the screenings will go on sale today (May 16th) via this location. The band’s guitarist Kim Thayil commented of the release:
“We were very proud and excited to document the performance of our new material from ‘King Animal‘, and to celebrate with each other and our fans.”
Vicky Cornell, widow of the band’s late frontman Chris, added:
