The Foo Fighters performed a special pop-up show in the parking lot of the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA yesterday, August 26th. Chevy Metal, a covers side project of Foo Fighters‘ drummer/vocalist Taylor Hawkins opened the set, with various members of the Foo‘s, including Dave Grohl himself, sitting in (notably Roger Taylor joined in for a cover of his band Queen‘s “Under Pressure“.)
The Foo Fighters themselves performed under the name of The Holy Shits and busted out some tracks they hadn’t played live in quite some time, including the first performance of “Gimmie Stitches” since 2008 and their first performances of “New Way Home” and “Weenie Beenie” since 2014, among others.
Some fan-filmed footage of the show can be seen below with the concert serving as a warm-up show of sorts for this year’s ‘Cal Jam‘ festival, which will take place October 06th at the Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA.
