DevilDriver's Dez Fafara Has Members Of Metallica, Megadeth, Slipknot, Etc. On His Wish List For Second Volume Of "Outlaws 'Til The End"

Time constraints, scheduling, etc. and more meant that DevilDriver weren’t able to get everyone they had hoped for on their recently released outlaw country covers album, “Outlaws ‘Til The End: Vol. 1“. While Glenn Danzig and John 5 were among the initial artists in the running for the effort, it would seem they may wind up appearing on an eventual second volume of the series.

Last week DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara did some thinking out loud via Twitter on who else he hopes to lineup for that potential second volume. Among his choices:

  • Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and his daughter Electra
  • Metallica vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield
  • Hatebreed, Jasta, etc. vocalist Jamey Jasta
  • Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour
  • Nikki Sixx of Sixx:A.M./ex-Mötley Crüe
  • John Doe of X

Discussing the matter further on Twitter with fans, Fafara revealed even more guests he hopes to lock in for the release, including Guns N’ RosesDuff McKagan, Max Cavalera (Soulfly, etc.) and his son Richie Cavalera) (Incite) on a track together, Clutch‘s Neil Fallon, Nergal of Behemoth, Chris Barnes from Six Feet Under and more. It would appear he hopes for more involvement from Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe on the second volume as well.

For what it’s worth, both Corey Taylor and Jamey Jasta have expressed interest in taking part via Twitter. As of yet this all remains wishful thinking however, and with a double album from DevilDriver in the works, it would appear we will be waiting quite a bit before the band can find time to work on the next covers release.
