Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell has reflected on his late personal friend Vinnie Paul, who passed away at the age of 54 last week. Paul was of course famous for playing in Pantera and HELLYEAH and had a longstanding close friendship with Cantrell that spanned decades. An official cause of death has yet to be determined.
As Cantrell goes on to state in the piece, they would often spend time together around the holidays, with Paul‘s late brother, Dimebag Darrell Abbott also involved. In addition to sharing praise for Vinnie and discussing their early pre-fame days together, he also recalls some of the mischief they got up to.
