Chelsea Grin have provided a brief update on their new album and upcoming touring plans. The band were forced to cancel a planned run with Motionless In White and more earlier this year due to what they described as the “declining health” of their frontman Alex Koehler. He has since received treatment for those issues.
The band have a new album co-produced by Drew Fulk (Motionless In White, Crown The Empire) and Emmure guitarist Joshua Travis (ex-The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza) set for a release later in the year and have also secured a spot on this year’s ‘Vans Warped Tour‘.
Tweeting of the album and the above earlier today (March 27th,) the band offered:
We needed this personal time at home, and are so grateful for our fans’ understanding. We’ve had time to collect ourselves and gain mental rest, and are confidently/excitedly ready for the future 😈 Absolutely can’t wait to see all of you on @VansWarpedTour 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Also – our new album is finished. This record is deeply meaningful for us. We wanted to achieve heaviness through negative emotion, of which we’ve had no shortage. It is without hesitation our meanest, darkest, heaviest and most evil and honest creation to date.
