The Foo Fighters‘ latest album “Concrete And Gold” had a gigantic first week, shifting 127,000 units during its first seven days of availability in the United States. Of that number, 120,000 were traditional album sales. Unsurprisingly, the album has opened at the top spot of the Billboard 200.
Though the numbers are high given today’s market, there has been a considerable sales dip since the group’s previous album, 2014’s “Sonic Highways“. That outing opened with 190,000 units in its first week. Ironically it opened at #2 on the Billboard 200 at the time thanks to the sales juggernaut known as Taylor Swift.
