It should be well known at this point that Slipknot will be on hiatus for a year or two as the rest of the band pursue various interests, most notably with frontman Corey Taylor supporting Stone Sour‘s forthcoming new album “Hydrograd“. While writing has been taking place for new material, Taylor himself doesn’t expect the band to be fully active again for quite some time. He recently told 97.1 The Eagle in the below interview:
“I’ma bum you out… we ain’t doing shit right now. We’re not really doing anything right now. I know we’re kind of slowly starting to write some music. Other than that, we’re taking some time off. Clown’s going to direct some movies, Sid’s going to do some stuff—We’re all kind of doing our own thing.”
“The next year is everybody doing their own thing. Then, probably after that, we’ll slowly but surely start to get together to do some Slipknot stuff.”
