It seems that former Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile‘s health issues weren’t the only reason behind his departure from the band back in December. Carlile has recently been making some suggestive posts via his social media accounts (see below,) including a reply to a fan via his Instagram which Rockfeed.net picked up on. When asked whether or not he would be involved in any future writing with the band, Carlile replied:
“no i will no longer be writing with them, one of the reasons I left. they weren’t going to let me write what i wanted on next record. that’s not gonna happen. I will write what I want despite what that means giving up.”
Seemingly referencing the situation via his Twitter, Carlile himself further stated:
if a person, or group of people, are in your lives trying to silence your voice or demean your beliefs, cut them out of it entirely.

if people in your life try to keep you quite, or disagree w/ your beliefs when they no longer benefit from them, get them OUT of your life.

true friends will buckle down & help you change the world. fake friends only want you to help the world as long as it benefits themselves.

I've been SO incredibly happy since I dumped ppl who were trying to silence my voice & only stood by my side when they were to gain from it.

Recent months have seen Carlile become increasingly vocal about his Christian faith throughout his social media accounts since devoting himself to “fully follow god” last summer. Given the above, speculation has already surfaced that Carlile‘s posts suggest that some of his former bandmates may not have been too keen on him allegedly wanting to steer the band in a more faith based direction.
