Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch prefers to look at the bigger spiritual picture when it comes to the current state of unrest present in North America following Donald Trump‘s U.S. presidential election win. He shared the following post on the matter today:
“I’m not saying if I support Trump. And I’m not saying if I support Hillary. But I’ll pray for them both to do good in the world as they both walk out their destinies. I don’t enjoy politics, I never have. There’s too many lies. I love music and I love to laugh and have fun as much as possible (i.e. Thug life Trump photo & scary Hillary photo 😉) I dealt with anger, anxiety and depression for too long in my past.
That’s why to lay down my life and to have God fill me and reside inside of me, because of what Christ did for humanity, was the best decision I’ve ever made. Trump & Hillary will die of old age somewhere around 20 years from now. All of us will be gone in about 80 years and all new people will be here. What then?
There is a door that will open to any of us ready to humble ourselves and ask to learn the truth about humanity. That door is the door that will make any human being one with God to share in God’s divine nature. That door is Jesus Christ; the only God man able to restore humanity to its original nature.
Make no mistake; that door is the Son of God Jesus and a relationship with him. Not religion. His nature is a mixture of power/strength and loving kindness/gentleness. He also has great humor and at times likes to stir things up. This is the 100% truth and Jesus himself will prove this to us while we live on this earth if we desire to know the truth.
Don’t trust yourself by choosing alone what to believe. Ask God every day for the rest of your life what the truth is. And He will lead and guide you into the TRUTH for humanity. “These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature.” 2 Peter 1:4 “But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.” 1 Cor 6:17″
