Mastodon guitarist Bill Kelliher has told mikejamesrockshow.com that the band plan to officially begin recording their next album in October/November. He said of the material they have for it already:
“With the eleven songs that we’ve recorded so far it’s mostly been Brann [Dailor] and myself, I mean he lives down from the street from me, we grew up together and we wrote together.”
Previous comments from guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds stated that the effort may become a double album as the band were sitting on a surplus of material from the sessions for their previous release, “Once More ‘Round The Sun“.
