Rage Against The Machine, etc. guitarist Tom Morello has broached the controversy Kiss‘ Gene Simmons helped to whip up by taking issue with rap music and its place in the ‘Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame‘ following N.W.A.‘s recent induction into the hall. Simmons concerns continued with a public spat between himself and N.W.A.‘s Ice Cube, with the two largely disagreeing on the matter.
Morello certainly has an interesting perspective on the matter, with Rage Against The Machine helping to popularize the pairing of rap and metal in the early 90’s. In the below tweet he shows some support for N.W.A.‘s side of the matter, praising their acceptance speech, in which they called out Simmons for his statements:
Beyond any shadow of a doubt the most “rock n roll” segment of the 2016 Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony was N.W.A.
