Stone Temple Pilots haven’t been sitting by idly while they wait to find a new singer. The band’s bassist Robert DeLeo was interviewed at the NAMM event last month by Backstage Axxess and said of their progress with new material:

“We have way too much to offer still. We have way too much music to offer still. And you know, it’s the kind of thing when the three of us get together still—if it didn’t work—I don’t think we would do it. But it works so well. We’ve got about 3/4th of a record already recorded, you know that we’ve been working on. So we’re gonna regroup and make a new plan to move forward.”

As mentioned above, the group are holding open auditions to find their next vocalist. They will also be reuniting with their former frontman Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park) for a one-off charity show in March, get those details here.
