Metallica‘s headlining performance at ‘The Night Before‘ event will be live broadcast around the web with a free stream to be made available at this location. The event will be held this Saturday, February 06th, with the stream to go live at 8:30pm PST/11:30pm EST. In other news, the band’s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo again played for the Salesforce.com staff earlier this month.
Along with an introduction from drummer Lars Ulrich, the pair performed the U.S. national anthem “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a conference that was held earlier this week regarding Salesforce.com‘s product vision for the year of 2016. While the footage of that has been cut from the actual stream, a fan has uploaded it from the live stream below.
As to why the pair were involved in the presentation, Hammett and the company’s co-founder Marc Benioff are neighbors. After joking about having Metallica open for him, Benioff reveals in the conference that Salesforce.com purchased 5,000 tickets for the aforementioned ‘The Night Before‘ performance and distributed them to local high schools for teachers, staff etc. to attend.
