If you missed it over the weekend, the long-shelved Deftones documentary “Entertain Me – A Film About Deftones” received its proper release, complete with a final edit done by director Andrew Bennett. The film was originally shot around the release of 2000’s “White Pony” but never made it to the public sans an unfinished leak a few years back. Its official availability proved to be short lived though as legal threats from the band’s camp emerged shortly after, derailing the release. Bennett has now issued the following statement regarding the film and its legal struggles:
“As expected this film is unavailable for a very short time.
I can assure every person who has purchased it, you are getting your film!
No matter what.
I can assure everyone else, that despite the unlawful action placed on my legal film, it will be available very, very shortly.
Again, you waited 15 years, a couple of more days while I fight the Man won’t hurt.
