Glenn Danzig Got His 'Portlandia' Cameo Thanks To Rob Zombie's Birthday Party

Glenn Danzig was interviewed by Revolver while on tour in NYC recently. In the interview he once again stated that he no longer plans to tour extensively. He also revealed that his cameo on an upcoming episode of the TV series ‘Portlandia‘ came about due to meeting series star Fred Armisen at Rob Zombie‘s birthday party. Armisen introduced himself as a fan of Danzig and later offered him the role. When asked to describe the lineup of the recent ‘Blackest Of The Black Tour‘, Danzig heaped praise upon all outfits involved sans Veil Of Maya, whom he curiously forgot to even mention.
