Ziraul De Iasi are reporting that both of Goodbye To Gravity‘s guitarists, Vlad Telea and Mihai Alexandru (pictured below,) perished in the chaos that ensued following an apparent pyrotechnics mishap during their set in Bucharest, Romania last night. It’s also being reported that the band’s vocalist Andrei Galut has suffered burns to over 45% of his body, with additional injuries sustained from smoke inhalation. Bassist Alex Pascu meanwhile is said to have undergone surgery for an undisclosed injury.
Recalling shades of Great White‘s tragic 2003 set in Rhode Island, Goodbye To Gravity‘s release show for their new album “Mantras Of War” last night (October 30th) claimed at least 27 lives. According to the Telegraph, 27 are dead, while 180 remain injured. The incident took place at the Collectiv in Bucharest, Romania with witnesses stating that pyrotechnics going haywire were the result of a fire in the venue, which due to a lone entrance, saw countless victims burned, crushed by stampeding fans and suffering from smoke inhalation.
