Protest The Hero officially have a gold record to their credit—albeit in their native Canada. 2008’s “Fortress” has hit the sales mark of 40,000 copies sold in Canada. The band commented:
“We can finally join in on a tradition that might not be around for much longer. It may have taken 7 years but Fortress has been certified gold in Canada. Our other albums have been sitting at a status of some of the less precious metals: Kezia is silver, Scurrilous is lead and Volition is nickel.”
