Despite the personnel changes and absence of writing input from their late guitarist Jeff Hanneman, Slayer guitarist Kerry King remains confident of the bands impending new album, “Repentless“, which will be released this Friday, September 11th. King shared his thoughts on the album and backlash that they have faced since continuing on without Hanneman or drummer Dave Lombardo (who has again been replaced by Paul Bostaph), telling Guitar World:
“I wanna put that demon to bed,. The diehard fans are rabidly waiting for the new record. But there are the dickhead 10 percent that expect you to fail because things are so different. But I’m not even concerned. I’m stoked. Repentless is gonna shut them right up.”
