Helmet are planning to digitally re-release their 1994 album “Betty” via Helmetmusic.com shortly. The new version of the outing features the album in its entirety along with 5 bonus tracks originally featured on the LP version of the album and a 12″ single from it. Extra tracks included run as follows:
01 – “Flushings”
02 – “Thick”
03 – “Pariah”
04 – “Biscuits For Smut” (Pooch Mix)
05 – “Biscuits For Smut” (Mutt Mix)
In other news, the band have officially welcomed bassist Dave Case to their lineup. The group posted the following regarding his addition on their official website:
“So, as you can see, we finally got a new band photo done, courtesy of Tom Hoppa, and we can finally extend a warm and massively overdue welcome to our new bass guitar player: Mr Dave Case! He’s been holding down the low end throughout the recent run of shows, so many of you have already had an opportunity to watch him work; for the rest of you, keep ‘em peeled… there’s more coming soon!”
Helmet are currently on schedule to release their new album “Seeing Eye Dog” through Work Song on August 24th.
