Tomahawk Confirm That Their Upcoming Tour Isn't For A New Album: "There Is No New Music Planned"

Tomahawk‘s upcoming live return won’t be accompanied by new music. After some ill-fated teases rolled out earlier this month, the alternative metal supergroup announced this week that they would be hitting the road for their first U.S. tour in 13 years. Sludge metal mavens Melvins will be accompanying them on that run.

While some had presumed that aforementioned collective of members of Faith No More, The Jesus Lizard, Battles and more would be mounting this trek on the back of a new record, it turns out that’s not the case. Taking to their Facebook yesterday, February 25th, Tomahawk poured some cold water on such hopes.

As most of you know, today is our artist ticket presale for the upcoming tour dates. Just use the very creative password: FLASHBACK

We tried to keep tickets as affordable as possible for these shows. We know horrible fees get added as well. Sharing the stage with the Melvins makes this an even better deal. There will not be any other band on the bill.

To answer some of the questions we are getting, we will not be adding more cities to this run, we don’t hate your city, we don’t purposely avoid you and we sure as hell don’t hate Canada (we understand that our Canadian friends might not look forward to crossing the border these days, but we do have several shows not too far from you if you can stomach it). There is no new music planned. No meet and greets or any of that special package stuff. Oh and we are not taking song requests, thats not how concerts work.

We are all busy with other things and not as young as we used to be so we crammed as many dates into the period that we were all available. Our booking agent solicits offers and routes the dates based on the offers received. Believe it or not we don’t get offers from EVERY city.

As of this very moment, we do not have any other touring plans in 2026. However, we are in constant contact with our agents and working on our individual schedules to see if there is interest and we might have time to visit more of you, in other countries, in 2027. Stay tuned. Thank you for welcoming us back!
