Shadows Fall have reconvened in the studio with producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed) to complete their long-awaited eighth studio album. So far the metalcore vets have released two new tracks, “In The Grey” and “Souls Devoured“, from that follow-up to 2012’s “Fire From The Sky“.
Taking to livestreaming from the band’s Instagram this morning, drummer Jason Bittner fielded questions about the new effort, at one point stating of their progress:
“We’re gonna get this record finished hopefully sometime this frickin’ year. We’re starting the back half of the album today. We’ve tracked five songs so far. You guys have heard two of them that we’ve released… Today, we’re gonna start the last five.”
A release window for the outing remains up in the air, Bittner revealed that fans can expect to hear it, “when it’s done.”
