Recording sessions for The Acacia Strain‘s thirteenth studio album appear to be winding down, with vocalist Vincent Bennett having wrapped up his parts. As with the latest output from the band, recording sessions took place under producer Randy LeBoeuf (Gideon, Kublai Khan TX). Commenting on that today, April 24th, via social media, Bennett shared:
“Thank you, Randy.
My duties for record 13(!?) are officially done. This one took a lot out of me. During the writing and recording process I felt the full gamut of emotions. I was back and forth to the studio what feels like 100 times. Fortunately Randy was there with me every step of the way – the acacia strain wouldn’t be where we are right now without him. I am confident we have done more than we expected, and I am happy with what came out on the other side. I laughed, I cried (literally during certain vocal takes), I went sicko mode, and I ate airheads. It’s angry, it’s sad, it’s a little ridiculous; it’s pure TAS.
Welcome to the existential depressive low fantasy era.”
