Noah Weiland, the musician son of late Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, etc. vocalist Scott Weiland, has paid tribute to his iconic father with a cover of “Sex Type Thing“. That track effectively introduced the world to Stone Temple Pilots, being launched as the lead single to the band’s 1992 8x multi-platinum debut album “Core“.
A music video for Noah‘s rendition is also now available, with Noah himself, stating of his rendition, “filmed this about a dream i had long ago about seeing my father again. it’s hard for me to stay in the moment sometimes, but i try.”
Sadly, Noah ran into the same early pitfalls as his father, as problems with substance abuse temporarily derailed his musical career back in 2021. He has since been striking out on his own as a solo artist.
