JIVEBOMB‘s new single “ESTRELA” received its online premiere today, February 18th. The Baltimore, MD hardcore band will have that track featured on their forthcoming debut album “ETHEREAL“, which Flatspot Records have lined up for a March 28th release date. Vocalist Kat Madeira drew inspiration from Billie Holiday‘s rendition of “Gloomy Sunday” for this track, stating:
“This song has been written (lyrically) for a while, and I was on a heavy Billie Holiday kick at the time. She has a devastating song where she says, ‘Angels have no thoughts of ever returning you — would they be angry if I thought of joining you?’ so there’s an ode to that in ‘ESTRELA.’”
