Matt Pinfield, a media and radio personality who has long been entrenched in the heavy metal and hard rock community, has been confirmed by TMZ to have suffered a massive stroke on January 06th of this year.
Per legal documents obtained by TMZ, his daughter has now filed for temporary conservatorship of his accounts, with his current medical status leaving him ‘incompetent’ of making decisions regarding his health and finances.
His daughter is said to be seeking that status to prevent any potential claims towards his finances made by his girlfriend. Rumors of Pinfield‘s unfortunate condition began to circulate earlier this month when radio station Triple A issued the below statement several weeks ago:
“The SoCal Sound’s legendary DJ Matt Pinfield will be taking a temporary leave of absence. We are fully supportive of Matt and hope to have his energetic knowledge of rock n’ roll back on the air soon…”
With news of his condition now public, various friends of Pinfield have since taken to sharing their expressing their well wishes for his recovery on social media. With a career spanning decades, Pinfield is perhaps most known for his time at MTV and hosting the short-lived music competition show ‘Farmclub.com‘.
