Carnal Forge's Lars Lindén Launches Crowdfunding For Alternative Treatments Following Terminal Cancer Diagnosis

Bassist Lars Lindén of Carnal Forge, etc. fame has been seeking financial assistance with his years-long battle with cancer. Back in April of 2023, Lindén was diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to his liver. Since then, he’s undergone multiple surgeries and 27 rounds of chemotherapy.

However, after years of receiving treatment from the Swedish healthcare system, which recently gave him the prognosis of ” a few weeks to months left to live”, the musician is seeking funds to pursue alternative treatments offered outside of what is currently available to him. He commented of that this past Friday, January 24th:

“The rumor of my death is greatly exaggerated”. And the fact that I would have died on Anna’s birthday… No then, even though the oncology reception in Region Västmanland has given up and left me to die, I have not given up. But I’m feeling pretty rough..

I have been given the prognosis “a few weeks to months left to live”. They say they have no treatments left they can offer me. Karolinska has no studies I can participate in and a liver transplant is not current in my case as it seems now. It suddenly becomes another game plan. So now I have to cure myself…

To grab things like dust cleaning, filling in the white archive and choosing music for my funeral feels pretty absurd. But must also be done to make it easier. Directing your own death. Are you allowed to have smoke and firecrackers in the church?

Otherwise I am fine but feeling stressed and sad.
