Deftones/Sol Invicto guitarist Stephen Carpenter can be heard reuniting with his ex-Kush bandmate B-Real (also of multi-platinum outfit weed rappers Cypress Hill) on a track titled “Lyrical Hammers“. That song is featured on B-Real & Psycho Les‘ new collaborative album, “Real Psycho“, which hit stores and streamers today, December 06th.
Kush was a short-lived rap metal side project formed in 2000. In addition to B-Real & Carpenter, the project also featured Fear Factory‘s then rhythm section of bassist Christian Olde Wolbers & drummer Raymond Herrera. Little to no material from the project made it out, as the group was apparently hamstrung by label issues.
Carpenter and B-Real have remained close friends throughout the decades that followed however, with Carpenter remaining a frequent guest on B-Real‘s various podcast and interview pursuits.
