Yet another Misfits cover has arrived online from Avenged Sevenfold. The multi-platinum alternative metal band are keeping up with their time-honored tradition in paying tribute to the aforementioned horror punk legends each Halloween. Just last week they served up their take on “Skulls“, but apparently that wasn’t all they had in the chamber.
Today, October 29th has seen them make another nod to the catalog of Lodi, NJ-based outfit. In a move that is perhaps entirely on the nose, the reconfigured lineup of Avenged Sevenfold (it seems Zacky Vengance is still on lead vocals) have put their stamp on Misfits‘ 1985 track “Halloween“.
